Happy New Year 2010: Me, the Take-Home-Chef

Long ago, Liz&Ivan used to joke about how I would be their resident Chef/Butler/Toilet Cleaner/French Maid/Coolie all rolled into one when they move into their dream home. I too played along with them. Needless to say, it provided us with countless hours of entertainment for a good 2-years. It was all a joke up until the point when they finally moved in and summoned me to "work". My first task was to cook dinner for their visiting family and close friends who were here for New Year's Eve.

Boy, what have I gotten myself into?

Well don't tell them, but secretly, I didn't mind cooking for their family. In fact, I love it. Like previous years,  I planned up a simple menu few weeks ahead and ran it by them. Once approved, I then look forward to spending the last day of the year slaving away in the kitchen honing the skills which my mama gave me. Let's call it a labour of love. Anyway, without further ado, I'll leave you with the comics to tell the story...
