Kiehl's Christmas Party 2009: Fatboybakes 1st Catering Gig

I generally do not like blogging about work stuff. But this is one of the few exceptions I would make. 

As a way to thank loyal supporters, Kiehl's Malaysia threw an awesome year-end Christmas party. Fabulous gift bags and Santa hats were given away to all the guests, a magician who wowed us with many tricks, a balloon artist who kept us entertained for hours, and mini contests for all to bring home some of their favourite Kiehl's products. But what made the evening a truly special affair was the buffet spread, all catered and prepared by none other than our favourite baker, Mr. Fatboybakes!

Imagine a 16-footer table filled from edge to edge with yummylicious goodies. Festive reds and greens were scattered all over, it was the most magical Christmas spread I've ever seen in my life. Our guests were so impressed that they couldn't stop admiring it for a good 1-hour before they started digging into the Mini Mushroom Quiche, Cheese & Turkey Ham Roll, Quail Egg Salad, Red Velvet Cupcakes, Brownie with Macadamia & Orange Peel and of course the piece de resistance, The Yuletide Log - which was a cross breed between his fabulous Blackforest cake and Spencer, all wrapped up in his light Swiss roll like creation. Ahhh..indulging innit?



We are indeed blessed to have the support of such a talented baker, who's willing to slave for hours in his kitchen with his poor wife to put food on our table (literally!). We're also very honoured to be FatboyCaters' first customer too. Thanks Ah Pa! Don't forget us when you're super famous.
