Food and Colleagues: The one with the Pork and Crab

Having a long and satisfying meal with colleagues, unfortunately, is not an everyday occurrence. On an average working day, one would be considered lucky to be able to step out of the office for a bite. Ask McCutie, who hasn't been out for lunch for almost a month now. Poor thing...

So when the opportunity arise over the long weekend to makan-makan with the colleagues...they went apeshit and decided to travel all the way to butt-f*ck Klang (no offense Mei Ling) for a taste of the famed Bak Kut Teh that the town was build on. Thanks to the gracious host, who showed us another legendary BKT place in Telok Pulai apart from the regular one 'under-the-bridge'.



A couple days and some 10,000 emails response later, my very own colleagues decided for a dinner gathering of our own. I first thought we were celebrating someone's birthday only to find out at dinner it was actually to cure Kelly's craving for crab dishes. Only rules were that the 80's gang were invited (no older generations - LOL) and that everyone was to leave the office no later than 7pm. Traffic wasn't at its best behaviour (why am I not surprised?) so we arrived later than expected and by the time I arrived at City Star Restaurant at Taman Bukit Mayang Mas myself, the girls were happily digging into their crabs.



It was great being able to get out of the office and bitch about other things apart from our work. We should do this more often I'll say. Suddenly, I'm also missing my ex-colleagues and the dinners with them too.
