Deepavali Feast @ The Saffron

After a traumatizing Saturday, a gathering with the gang was probably what I need to get my mind off my new-found obesity. Even if it was an impromptu decision to invade Jack&Keith's humble abode and countdown to Deepavali!

So, what did a not so little fat monkey do with everyone else...EAT! The host and hostess prepared a good meal - authentic banana-leave rice dinner complete with papadum! How apt! Obviously we enjoyed ourselves so much, we practically finished two batch of rice and all the dishes on the table. Wiped out I tell you.

It also seems like my newly declared physical status hasn't put me off from face-stuffing myself silly. Instead, it has inspired me to make some dessert for the dinner. I figured why not help spread the fatness around. Sharing is caring after all. And, I did remember to put in 10 blocks of butter. Just like Nigella instructed. She and her fully-developed tush would have been proud of me!
