Perth, Day#3 & #4: It's The Weekend

I reckoned the best way to spent your weekend here in Perth is to cruise down the Swan River all the way down to the port city of Frementle. Freo, as the locals call it, is very different - in culture, architecture, and style. So albeit being a touristy lil place, do go enjoy the quirky and laid back lifestyle of the place and for some reason, the sun always shines brighter here - something I've realized since my student days here. So, it was funny that I didn't remember my face UV protection and got mild burn on my face in mid-winter!

Among the many highlights here in Freo, do check out the Frementle Market for arts and fresh produces, enjoy a plate of fish & chips by the pier, continue to watch the world go by as you sip a cuppa java down by the famous 'cappuccino strip' and take the excellent guided tour at the Frementle Prison right before the sun sets on you.

All in all, this short strip away from the city (it's only 25mins drive from Perth city) , is a lovely way to spend the weekend.

  6. I had the best beer in the Freo E-sheds Market. So nice to sit out in the cool weather with a cold beer and enjoy the sea breeze and seagulls!
